Mariothon 2013
Hey Paisano's! This years Mariothon has been announced so I'm helping my friend
Jordan spread the word!
"Mariothon: Colorado is home to a group of passionate gamers who gather
several times a year to play Mario (and other) games for 72 hours in the name of
charity. Tune in July 4-7, 2013 for their fourth installment involving a
timeless battle between Kirby and Yoshi as they play for The Fisher Center for

Upcoming Super Mario titles announced at E3 2013
Hey all, just a quick update to let you know that Luke is not able to update at
the moment (some problem with his hands) so has left things in the capable hands
of myself (Mariomaster91)
I have added a lot of new stuff following last weeks
E3 conference in LA in which Nintendo left Microsoft and Sony to compare their
expensive media centres and focused on their expanding their games library for
the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U which in my opinion was exactly the right thing to do
- its way too soon for another console.
Nintendo announced a wide range of new games coming soon for the Nintendo 3DS
and Wii U from many popular franchises, here's what Nintendo have in the
pipeline for Mario fans:- For the 3DS: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Super Smash Bros 3DS and Yoshi's
New Island.

Old Fan Art / Fiction restored
Just a quick update to let you know I have re-added all the fan art and fan
fiction I could get from web archives that used to be on our predecessor site
Super Mario Portal. These are all now added to the fan fiction and artwork
sections.
The Year of Luigi continues with New Super Luigi U
The year of Luigi continues with the upcoming release of New Super Luigi U,
the Mario-shunning rendition of New Super Mario Bros U - this title will feature
over 80 levels based on remixed versions of those from the original game. The
digital download version of New Super Luigi U will be available 19th of June in
the Japan, 20th of June in Australia and the USA and finally on the 21st of June
in Europe and will be downloadable in the Wii U e-Shop. We will be starting a section to cover further information on this title very
shortly. For now you can check out the below YouTube videos which will give you
a little something to get your teeth into while you wait for release. New Super Luigi U gameplay
overview and features Nintendo talk us through some of the
features of New Super Luigi U including the addition of Nabbit as a playable
character in multiplayer mode, interestingly Nabbits special traits are that
regardless of what items he collects, he cannot power up, BUT he also cannot be
hurt by touching enemies (I guess that's why he is only going to be available in
multiplayer, as that would not make for exciting single player if you could
barely lose). Also playable are Blue and Yellow Toad. Mario in New Super Mario Bros U
vs. Luigi in New Super Luigi U comparison The above trailer is in Japanese, but the short story of the trailers purpose
is that it compares the gameplay physics of Mario in New Super Mario Bros, and
Luigi in New Super Luigi U. You can pre-order the retail copy of
New Super Luigi U (Nintendo Wii U)
The main difference being that Luigi can jump higher and run faster than his
brother, but he is also a bit tougher to control in the sense that he takes
longer to stop - risking horrific plunges to his demise at every turn, but
certainly adding a new element to the gameplay.

In
recent news a Brooklyn dog was sucked into a Warp Zone in a tragic disaster,
teams of up to sixty-five individuals combed the streets searching for Rover but
to no avail. Weeks later the following footage was found.
